The public, private and non-profit members of the WCCC closely collaborate on the planning and financing necessary to create a seamless clean, green and smart transportation corridor up and down the west coast.


Our common goal is to continue to lead the nation in the development, testing and implementation of ways to reduce our dependence on oil, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and develop new industries and jobs.

FHWA Encourages Innovative Approaches for States' Use of Federal Funds

  Today the FHWA announced acceptance of proposals by California and Vermont to explore ways of using federal funds to cover certain indirect costs of managing highway projects. See the attached for details.

New Green Stickers to Allow Partial-Zero Emission Vehicles in California's Carpool Lanes

   The 2012 Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid and 2012 Chevy Volt are expected to be the first cars that meet the standards. Both companies are taking reservations for those vehicles and say the cars should be out in the next three months.
